Privacy Policy
Fadewell for Android (com.fadewell.music) · Last updated 4 November 2026
This policy explains what information the Fadewell app collects, why, and what choices you have. Fadewell has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Your music
- Fadewell asks for permission to read audio files so it can show the music stored on your device. It does not ask for access to your photos or videos.
- Your library, playlists, play positions and settings are stored only on your device. Music files and listening data are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
- Fadewell does not stream, download or sell music, and it does not change your files.
- Uninstalling the app deletes the data it kept. Your music files stay where they are.
Background playback
To keep playing with the screen off, the app runs a media playback service and shows a notification with playback controls. The sleep timer runs on your device.
Information collected by third-party services
The app uses Google services for advertising, analytics and crash reports. They collect some information automatically:
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising ID, device and app information, approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions | Showing ads, measuring ads, preventing fraud |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Your consent choices | Asking for and storing consent where the law requires it |
| Firebase Analytics | App interactions (for example, screens opened), app instance ID, device information | Understanding how the app is used and improving it |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash logs, diagnostic and device information | Finding and fixing crashes |
None of these services receive your music files or the names of the songs you play. This information is sent over an encrypted connection and is processed by Google under its own terms: see Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Consent and your choices
- If you are in a region where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the app: Tuning → Change ad personalisation.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads).
- You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above, for the purposes listed above, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Data collected by Google services is kept according to Google's retention settings (analytics data for up to 14 months). Because the app has no accounts, we cannot link this data to you; to request deletion of data associated with your device, write to the address below and we will forward your request to Google where possible.
Children
Fadewell is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
